Upgrading your plan in Socialbud is simple and flexible. You can do it at any time to suit your evolving needs, whether you're still in your trial period or already using a paid plan. However, how these changes are handled — especially in terms of billing — depends on your current subscription status. This guide explains the steps and options available to ensure a seamless transition to your upgraded plan.
During the free trial, you have complete freedom to switch between different plans. Since this period is designed to let you explore the product, no actual billing or payment takes place when changing plans. Only the features and limits associated with each plan will change. For example, if you switch to a higher-tier plan, you may receive access to more features or a higher content quota. However, there is no cost involved, and no invoices are generated.

Once your trial period ends and you are on a paid plan, switching to a different subscription will have billing implications. These depend on whether you're upgrading to a higher-tier plan or downgrading to a smaller one, and whether you're switching between monthly and yearly billing cycles.
If you move from a smaller plan to a larger one, we calculate the cost difference and adjust your payment accordingly:
If you’re switching from one monthly plan to another, or from a monthly to a yearly plan:
You will only be charged the price difference between the two plans. This amount is prorated based on how many days are left in your current billing period. This means you pay only for the remaining time at the higher rate.
If you switch from a yearly plan to a monthly plan with more features:
In this case, the unused portion of your original yearly plan will be converted into account credit. That credit is then automatically applied to cover the cost of your new monthly subscription until it runs out.
From one yearly plan to a more expensive yearly plan:
You will be billed the difference between the two yearly plans. This ensures you're only paying the extra cost needed to upgrade.
There are two ways to upgrade your subscription in the app:
Using the “Manage plan” button – Click the “Manage plan” button next to your current plan for a quick upgrade.
Via your profile – Navigate to your profile menu and select the Subscription section to view available plans and upgrade options.
Both options will take you to the same upgrade interface.
Log in to your account and locate the Manage plan button.

Click Edit Subscription.
Click CHANGE
Click on the Package Selector, choose the plan that best fits your needs, then select your preferred billing frequency and click the “Update” button.

If you're on a high-tier yearly plan and decide to switch to the same tier on a monthly basis, the remaining unused portion of your annual payment becomes credit. You don’t need to take any action; the system will always use your available credit first before charging you.
Example:
If you're on a high-tier yearly plan and decide to switch to the same tier on a monthly basis, the remaining unused portion of your annual payment becomes credit. That credit can cover multiple months of your new monthly subscription, depending on how much is left and the cost of the new plan.
If your payment fails:
You won’t be able to access the upgraded features.
