Google Business Profile posts need a square (1:1) image. When you schedule a post and the image is not square, Socialbud creates a square version for Google Business Profile and keeps your original image for the other platforms you selected.
Open the post and click Schedule. If the post is already scheduled, the button says Reschedule.
On Schedule post, select Google Business Profile.
If the image is not square, the row opens with a Note badge and the message Google needs a 1:1 image for posts, we adjusted it for you:
Socialbud prepares a square image automatically. Schedule waits until that finishes.
When the square image is ready, the badge changes to Adjusted, and a square preview appears in the row.
You can leave that version as is, or click Edit to change how the square is made. Confirm your choice, then set the publishing time and click Schedule.

Open the post from the Calendar, or from Content → Post (My posts).
Click Schedule, or Reschedule if the post is already on the calendar.
Select Google Business Profile.
Wait for the square preview. The badge moves from Note to Adjusted.
Set Publishing time:, then click Schedule.
On the Google Business Profile row, click Edit on the preview.
The Adjust image screen opens.
Choose how the square is made:
Fit — the full image stays visible inside the square. Under Fit style, pick Blur (blurred fill) or Color (solid fill).
Crop — a square is cut from the image. Drag and zoom to choose the area.
Auto — only appears when this design has an approved square layout. Socialbud rebuilds the design as a square instead of cropping the finished image.
Click Confirm to save the square for Google Business Profile, or Cancel to close without changing it.
Back on Schedule post, click Schedule.
If the image is already square, or very close to square, the Google Business Profile row does not open this note. You can schedule as usual.
The square image is used for Google Business Profile only. Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms keep the original image.
The automatic version usually uses Fit with Blur, so nothing is cut off. Empty edges are filled with a blurred version of the image.
If Auto is available, prefer it when you want the design laid out for a square canvas instead of a crop or letterbox of the finished image.
Text-only posts with no image do not need this square step.
Google Business Profile accepts one image or one video per post. If the post has more than one media item, Google Business Profile does not appear in the platform list.
Other Google Business Profile limits: images up to 5 MB, no GIF images, and videos up to 30 seconds. Those issues can hide the platform from the list until you fix them.
Schedule stays unavailable while the Google Business Profile row is open. The square image is still being prepared. Wait until the preview finishes and the badge says Adjusted.
I don’t like the automatic square. Click Edit, switch to Crop or change the Fit style, then click Confirm.
There is no Auto option. This design does not have an approved square layout. Use Fit or Crop instead.
Google Business Profile is missing from the list. The post may have more than one image or video, a GIF, an image over 5 MB, or a video longer than 30 seconds. Use a single image or a shorter video, then open Scheduleagain.
The account is not connected. Connect Google Business Profile under Settings → Socials.
