Use this when Google Business Profile will not connect, the business is missing from the connection window, or a post is blocked before it can publish. Google Business Profile connects from Settings, then Socials. The card is labeled Google Business Profile and shows a Beta badge.
Open Settings and select Socials.
Select Connect platforms if nothing is connected yet, or Connect accounts if a channel has been connected before.
A window opens. It first says Connecting to Ayrshare…. Ayrshare is the service that completes the Google sign-in. Seeing that name is expected.
Sign in with the Google account that manages the business, and approve the permissions. The listing has to be claimed, verified, and public before it can be linked.
While the window is open, Socialbud shows Waiting for connection…. When it succeeds, Google Business Profile appears on Socials with a Connected badge and the business name.
The first time you select Google Business Profile on a post, Socialbud says Google Business Profile is in Beta. Choose I understand, continue to keep it selected, or Cancel to leave it off.

On Google, open the business at business.google.com and confirm the listing is claimed, verified, and public. An unverified listing cannot be linked.
Confirm you are using the Google account that is an admin of that listing.
In Socialbud, open Settings, then Socials, and select Connect accounts.
In the window, sign in to that Google account and approve every requested permission.
Close the window and check that Google Business Profile says Connected on Socials.
Allow pop-up windows for Socialbud. If a new window cannot open, the connection page opens in the same tab.
Only an owner or a manager of the Socialbud account can connect or disconnect Google Business Profile.
Publishing has to be included in the plan before it can be connected.
During authorization, Google lists the app as Ayrshare, not Socialbud.
The Beta badge means publishing can still have issues. After a post goes out, check the business on Google and confirm it is really there. If it is not, contact [email protected].
Google Business Profile accepts a single image, a single video, or text. Carousel and Story posts are not offered for this channel. If it is the only connected channel, the post says None of your connected platforms support this post format.
On the post, Type is What's new, Event, Offer, or Photo/Video. A video post uses Photo/Video. What's new is for text or one image.
An Event needs Event title, Start date, and End date. An Offer needs Offer title, Start date, End date, Coupon code, Redeem online URL, and Terms & conditions. Until those are filled, the channel shows Missing info.
Add Call to Action button is optional. The choices are Book now, Order online, Shop, Learn more, Sign up, and Call. Every choice except Call also needs a Link. Call uses the phone number already on the Google listing, so set that phone on Google first.
A square image is adjusted for you. Socialbud can show Google needs a 1:1 image for posts, we adjusted it for you:
Post performance for this channel says Analytics not available for this platform. That is expected. Check the result on Google.
Turn off a VPN or an ad blocker if the Google window fails to load, then try again.
The business does not appear, or the window will not finish. Confirm the listing is claimed, verified, and public, and that you signed in with an admin Google account. Then select Connect accounts again.
The card says Reconnect required. Select Connect accounts and approve Google Business Profile again.
You see "Some required fields are missing for this platform. Google Business Profile". Open the channel on the post. If Type is Event or Offer, fill every required field. If the call-to-action switch is on, choose a button, and add a Link unless the button is Call.
You see "Google Business Profile posts are limited to 1,500 characters." Shorten the caption. The post can also offer Shorten for Google Business Profile.
You see "Google Business Profile supports only a single image or video per post." Remove the extra images or videos until one remains.
You see "Google Business Profile supports videos up to 30 seconds. Trim the video to publish to Google Business Profile." Shorten the video, then try again.
You see "Google Business Profile has a 5 MB image size limit. Reduce the image file size." Use a smaller image, then try again.
You see "Google Business Profile does not support GIF images. Please use a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image." Replace the GIF, then try again.
The post looks published in Socialbud, but on Google it says the post is no longer available or Rejected. Google rejects some text, including phone numbers in the caption, duplicate posts, and content that is not about the business. Edit the caption and publish again. Confirm the listing is still verified and public.
A video stays pending on Google. Wait a few minutes and refresh the Photos area on the listing. If it stays pending, contact Google. Socialbud cannot finish Google's processing.
You see Waiting for connection… after you already closed the window. Give it a few seconds. Socialbud is still checking the result.
Why does the window mention Ayrshare? Socialbud uses Ayrshare to complete the Google sign-in. The channel still appears as Google Business Profile in Socialbud.
Why is there a Beta badge? Google Business Profile is still in testing. The first time you select it on a post, choose I understand, continue. After publishing, check the listing on Google.
Can I post a carousel or a story? No. Use a single image, a video up to 30 seconds, or text.
